Every business starts with a particular purpose in mind. It is within the words of the Bible where it tells us to “…leave an inheritance for our children’s children”, that we aspired to come into existence in the year 2002.
Two of our four children were born with health challenges; our daughter was born with Spinal bifida and our son with Sickle Cell Disease. During our many hours of emergency room visits and countless hospitalizations each year, we’ve come to realize that our financial resources and employment stability are less than dependable. Knowing that a supplemental income was a reality for suiting our needs, and since we prefer not to spend a lot of time away from our children, we began baking teacakes for family and friends to make the ends meet. As a result, O’ Taste and See…Momma’s Homemade Teacakes was founded in 2005 and became incorporated in 2006.
O’ Taste and See…Momma’s Homemade Teacakes is a deep rooted seed that has grown through being an ancestral pastime, to a means of providing an additional income for our family’s much needed medical expenses. Moreover, it has become a part of our lives that allows us to share the divine blessings that have passed on to us from The Lord. Not only do we want to leave an inheritance for our children’s children, but a treasure that our children can appreciate today… The gift of life.
